Solar Technology Expertise N.V. or Sotex in short, is a Suriname-based Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company specialized in solar energy applications. More and more electricity has become an integral part of our daily activities and as such the demand for it is also rapidly increasing. To date, a significant portion of Suriname’s energy demand is still supplied by means of fossil fuels and despite being the greenest country by pro rata (93%), the energy transition towards sustainable energy resources is inevitable. The latter is precisely what Sotex has incorporated in her mission, i.e. contributing towards a sustainable driven society through the implementation of solar powered devices in Suriname and the region.
Established on 21 June, 2021, summer solstice, the day when the sun reaches its highest position in the sky and the day with the longest period of daylight, embody the core values of this young dynamic enterprise with expertise in solar energy technologies.
Our services range from the design and construction of solar power systems till the maintenance and monitoring operations of these systems. Furthermore, depending on our clients the systems may vary from residential to commercial or even utility-scale applications.
